Tenterden is a town in the borough of Ashford in Kent. Nestling in the heart of the Weald of Kent, Tenterden is rich in history and has largely escaped modern development and retained its authentic charm and character. It has an enticing, broad tree-lined High Street with broad bands of grass and trees seperating pedestrians from the road while the pubs, restaurants and shops are housed in the historic buildings, with many retaining their original Wealden weatherboarding and facades.

Tenterden is one of the prettiest rural towns in the county and has the largest Conservation Area in the Ashford District. Most of the listed buildings are timber framed and include the Georgian Town Hall, the spectacular medieval St Mildred’s Church and the 15th-century coaching inn, The Woolpack.
