Hawick holiday parks, Scottish borders Holiday rentals and sales - lodge & caravan parks in Hawick

Hawick is the largest town in the Scottish Borders and feels more urban and developed feel than the regions other market towns. On the banks of the Teviot river, Hawick played an important role in the battle of Flodden when most of the adult male population was killed, but the town had revenge soon after when The Callents captured the English flag, an event celebrated with a statue in the town. The towns growth and success was based on wool and textile manufacturing through the 1800s and today there's a choice of clothing and textile shops for the tourists. More recently The Borders Distillery opened, the first (legal) distillery to operate in THe Borders since 1837, it's an impressive buiding and well worth visiting.

Few places enjoy the warmth and friendliness of Hawick and The Scottish Borders. You'll be made welcome in any one of the brilliant pubs and restaurants with great local food and drinks. Hawick has a rich history with the wars with the English, textiles and whisky distilling with distillery tours avaialble and a thriving high street to enjoy. It's no wonder a staycation on an Hawick holiday park is so popular.
